The Native Red Maple is a rapid growing tree with green foliage in the spring and summer which turn into beautiful fall colours of yellowish orange to bright red. This tree needs to be grown in full sunlight but it can be quite adaptable to varying soil conditions, but thrives in acidic soils.. It prefers average to wet conditions, but can also tolerate some standing water.  It can be expected to live for 80-100 years.
